Giving options removes the pressure, makes them feel capable, and naturally encourages them to “listen” without the usual back-and-forth.

Neuropsychologist Dr. William Stixrud shares that “A sense of autonomy is one of the strongest predictors of motivation and cooperation in children.”

That’s why offering choices boosts motivation, reduces refusals or meltdowns, and helps kids build independence—one small decision at a time. 🌱
